2 Mai is a quiet seaside resort for families with children. Tourists can enjoy here the calm, noiseless nights and have a good night rest. 2 Mai also has a nude beach, at the extremity of the resort. The water is perfect for thalassotherapy, bathing, diving und water sports. Inhaling sea salt aerosols on the Black Sea beach early in the morning and in the evening is very healthy and boosts the immune system. The water temperature increases in summer to 26-27°C.
The beach has an east–south-east orientation, due to which it can reach in the summer months a maximum of solar radiation of more than 12 hours daily. The beach has fine sand and the water is shallow (not deep). This is a reason why the Black Sea beach is perfect for families with children. The bathing season lasts from middle May to the beginning of September, out of which the months of July and August are considered high season. The average day temperatures reach in summer values of 30° C.
The activities begin again in winter at year end, when the hotels welcome their guests at New Year’s Eve parties and team-buildings. Sometimes the sea surface freezes, which is an attraction for the tourists.
